Someone donates a book to a library, and I purchase it from a library book sale. I place it on my “To Be Read” shelf. Sometime later, I retrieve the book, open it, and begin reading the book.

Today is Saturday. I picked up a collection of short stories that I’ve been reading. It is common for me to read three books at a time. My reading materials can be found at three different reading nooks that I frequent. Usually, I am also in the middle of an audiobook. Occasionally I check out a library book and devote most of my reading time to that item so I can return it quickly.

The story that I read today—the page with the bookmark was an Easter story. Yesterday was Good Friday. Tomorrow is Easter. It is very likely that this is the only story about Easter in the book. What are the odds that I would pick up this book, and read this particular story this weekend?

This is not a rare occurrence for me. It happens all the time. God speaks through the Bible and sometimes through the arts. God can speak to you through literature. Read.
