The rain has gone and the sunshine’s back. Unfortunately, the heat and high humidity also arrived. Standing water remains as a reminder of the wet spring and mosquitoes are plentiful. I’ve spent too many hours searching for property and not enough time packing boxes. We are still in our home with a scheduled closing date of June 18. The Mays family land is now under contract.

We plan to go to view some property in Missouri next week.

I watch church online to avoid reconnecting with all my friends shortly before moving away.

We saw the movie Cruella at the local theater Tuesday night. It’s a wonderful dark comedy and the music is fabulous.

Mask regulations have been lifted and very few people are wearing face coverings. Even I have become lax due to masks being so uncomfortable and bothersome. However, the Center of Life is closed until Monday because an office worker’s family member tested positive for COVID-19. The virus is seldom mentioned in the news anymore, with the exception of an occasional new strain story. Sports and gatherings have resumed. Life is back to pre-pandemic normal unless you’re moving out of state.
