We’ve been busy. Ray and I spent a week in Hot Springs, Arkansas with Stephanie, Hayden, and Waylon. He’s four months old and over seventeen pounds of cuteness. I always forget he doesn’t sleep much during the day and think I can put in a little writing time when I’m with them. It’s best to stay positive.

This weekend, I attended the Between the Pages Writing Conference in Springfield. It was pretty fun. I’m meeting more writers and making friends. And I’m very tired.

Donald Trump pled not guilty to 37 criminal charges in court today.

The weather’s been pretty nice. Today’s high was 81, but it’s about to heat up.

I ordered a new planner today. I love all things planner-y, but don’t be fooled into thinking that I’m organized. I try—and fail. This one is called Pray and Plan. We’ll have to wait and see if it changes my life, or just drained my bank account.

I bought an ISBN package for my books today. God in the Cat Box has been revised (slightly) and is waiting for its ISBN and my publishing company logo added to the cover. The numbers have been issued to me, and now I have a lot of reading to do before registering my products. Publication work is put on the author these days but every step brings me closer to my goal. And I’m working hard.

The heat is here, but it’s much hotter in Texas.

Ray’s been sick with possible food poisoning from restaurant leftovers. He’s always had a hard time throwing food out. Now he wants to throw everything out. That’s fine with me, but I don’t expect this change to last long.

I’ve completed God in the Cat Box revisions. The process has been slow and challenging, but we’re on the downhill stretch. Ray has been a huge help. It’s nice to have support from family. Stephanie, Hayden, and baby Waylon arrived this weekend for a short visit. After they leave, Ray and I begin the publishing journey with God in the Doggie Bag.
