We had a great time at the Missouri State Fair yesterday. The skies were overcast most of the day and the high was 88. Our mortgage company provided free admission and some meal vouchers. The Budweiser Clydesdales were there and we saw a local band called Lindley Creek. We’d heard the band at Silver Dollar City. The Missouri fair is much smaller than the Texas State Fair, and so are the crowds. I love it and hope to go back again.

We received some needed rain this morning and today’s been overcast and humid.

Our church is having a baptism service on Sunday. It’s to be held at Bull Creek since we don’t have a baptistery. I’m looking forward to the event.

Our church baptized three last Sunday in Bull Creek. That was neat.

August has been packed full of activities and guests in our home with more arriving Wednesday. It’s been a birthday-palooza for Ray. We attended Friday night’s Springfield Cardinals vs. Tulsa Drillers at Hammons Field. It was a good game. The Cards won 3-2.

I haven’t done much writing, and I hope things slow down in September. I’m very tired and left Sunday School this morning not feeling well.
