We haven’t heard from the car dealer service department in weeks, so I called and text messaged them yesterday. No response, so I gave Jeep customer service a ring this morning. Jeep called the dealership and our part is in and they’re going to call us today to schedule a time for us to drop off the car. Isn’t it funny how that worked out? I can’t wait to hear from them. Customer service issued us a case number and someone is supposed to contact us in the next few days.
Stephanie, Hayden, and Waylon are here visiting this week. Ray’s sister is flying in on Thursday. It’s wonderful having our family here for the holidays. I’m tired, but it’s a good kind of tired. Tomorrow we’re going to the Top of the Rock to see the holiday lights. It’s going to be great fun.

Our Christmas guests have all gone home. The house is quiet and the empty high chair serves as a reminder of Waylon. Temperatures have plummeted. Today’s high was 42. I’ve put away gifts and baby things. I need to run the vacuum.
Steph and Hayden had Waylon’s picture made with Santa at Branson’s Bass Pro Shop. We golf carted through Top of the Rock’s Christmas decoration trail. That was beautiful and fun.
Matt bought me a 1,000 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of a cat. It’s difficult. I might even consider it elder abuse. I hope I live to complete it. Steph got me a window bird feeder. It’s not installed yet. I can’t decide where I want it. I hope it keeps the birds from flying into the windows.
The big news is that the Jeep is here and running. We retrieved it from the dealer on Thursday and they didn’t charge us anything. Yay! I hope it’s fixed for good now.

We woke to a light dusting of snow this morning, but it’s gone now. It’s been cold, but they predict a high of 50 tomorrow. My window bird feeder is up but hasn’t had any visitors yet. The cold has brought lots of birds to the other feeders.
Matt’s in Florida with his friends. It’s quiet around the house with just Ray and me. Perfect for working and writing. I’m caught up on housework, but I need to pack away the Christmas décor.
