I watched church online. Online church has become my new normal.
Ray bought seed and worked on planting it or repairing the tractor all weekend. He thought he had the tractor up and running several times, but it always quit.
Stephanie and Hayden are camped in Lake George, CO this month. They are near Pikes Peak and plan on coming back to Texas for the holidays October 2. We cancelled our trip to meet them in New Mexico.
Matt is spending the night here tonight. He has Labor Day plans in Weatherford tomorrow.

The temperature has really dropped the last two days. It’s fall-ish, and I love it. We’ve had quite a bit of rain.
Stephanie and Hayden are experiencing early Colorado snow and cold.

I had a colonoscopy this morning at Medical City Weatherford. They took good care of me. I was very impressed with the staff and facility.
Palo Pinto County has had 518 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 14 deaths. We have 62 active cases. A Face Book user commented that the increase in numbers must be due to a state data dump. I worry that it’s caused by the start of school.

At my last dental appointment, they told me to floss more aggressively. Today they said I had receding gums and cleaned my teeth with a power washer and a cutting torch. I think there might be a connection between my dental habits and the prescribed treatment. The song Do You Really Want to Hurt Me, Do You Really Want to Make Me Cry? played while I was in the chair. And I almost cried several times. Then they charged me $220 for this torture. I gladly paid it. I would’ve paid any sum to get out of there.
As you can see, I’ve had lots of appointments lately. Life’s getting back to normal. But getting back to the old fast-paced routine is not easy. I feel overwhelmed with the busy-ness and behind on my housework and writing. Ray and I joked that we probably enjoy being homebodies too much.
Depression in children has risen at an alarming rate in 2020 according to Cook Children’s Hospital. I wonder if getting back to school activities will help or hurt this development.
Palo Pinto County has had over 600 confirmed cases of Covid-19.

This morning I went to Dollar General for milk so Matt and I could eat our cereal while watching the church service. The clerk was having a LOUD discussion with the Frito Lay delivery guy. She told him, “I ain’t doing it.” He said all the other stores have to do it. I don’t know what it was, because I was immediately distracted by all the trick or treat candy marked seventy percent off.
It isn’t even October, and I don’t have my Halloween decorations out yet. But they discounted the candy and decorations. What’s worse? There was no Laffy Taffy to be found. Thankfully, I grabbed two bags of the Brach’s candy corn. I like to mix it in Fiddle Faddle popcorn and feel festive.
I imagined the candy clearance was to discourage trick or treating, and I asked the clerk why they had marked it down so early.
“Gotta make room for Christmas.”
Has the world gone mad? It’s only September.
The media reported that fall 2020 may be devastating with 3,000 Covid related deaths a day in December and over 400,000 deaths total. They’re predicting a twindemic when flu season combines with the Corona Virus.
