The sky is dark and we’re under a flood watch until 9 pm tomorrow. We’ve been enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. Many flowers have been tricked into blooming.

We’ve got a couple of people scheduled to visit for short trips this month. Ray has already mentioned going back to Texas. I wouldn’t mind another trip, but I don’t want to drive Stephanie and Hayden crazy with our home invasions.

Matt has been speaking at a nearby country church, and they’ve asked him to take a trial run until Easter as their senior pastor. I’m a little anxious about the whole thing. So is Matt, but he is willing to go as the Lord leads.

Ray and I delivered a puppy near Denison and visited with Stephanie and Haydon for a few days. Waylon’s growing up. His eating and burping skills have improved, but he’s still working on sleeping for long periods. The weather was rainy and dreary for most of our stay, and we arrived home hours before our weekend guests. That caused a little anxiety, but we flew by the seat of our pants and everyone had a great time. We shopped at the landing and walked a nature trail along the edge of Table Rock Lake on a sunny, cool day. My face is wind or sunburned from all the fun.

Ray is sick. The northeastern coast is covered in snow and California is flooding. A bank run in Silicon Valley shut down a small financial organization and the news is full of economic woes and speculation. A Russian plane collided with a US drone plane over international water. Russia claims the drone attacked them. US authorities say Russian pilots intercepted, dropped fuel on, and recklessly harassed our drone. Our 32M dollar drone plane is now on the bottom of the Black Sea.

I’m back in Denison for three weeks as Stephanie transitions back to work. The weather is perfect and I had a beautiful drive down yesterday. Waylon is growing. He seems heavy now. Ray might be the Waylon Whisperer, but don’t tell him. The baby’s been keeping me busy! He never sleeps and I need a nap.

Last Thursday we had some hail and hard wind and rain on the ridge. Our wet weather creek near the spring flooded its banks. I’m glad to report our home and animals are all okay.
